Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was 14. She trained in boxing kickboxing wrestling and BJJ before making her debut as an amateur at the age of 18, at WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd then went on to take down three opponents in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents were defeated within the first few minutes. Following that, she travelled to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo before facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia was defeated by Aspen in a unanimous vote. It left a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, where she dominated her in the first round to win a TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and won via armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to beat McGill in the third round via TKO. Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy as an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd was not able to gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC21 was her final fight for the company. She defeated Sijara Ebanks with a majority decision. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came on UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound in the second round to secure a TKO victory. When she next faced Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd took on Evinger by a punch in the initial round, and was awarded the Performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee, she fought Sijara-Eubanks in her debut fight. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and both fighters receiving an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in just 16 seconds, putting an end to her winning streak. In the third round of UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
