Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actor from Canada. She starred as Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy show Majority Rules! between 2009 and 2010. Between 2009 and 2010, she appeared in the role of Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) in the NBC series Revolution which is a post-apocalyptic science fiction show. The show was nominated to win a Saturn Award as Best Actress on TV. Annika Johnson played Annika in the A&E television show Bates Motel. Spiridakos has appeared on the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. As Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the main character. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owners George Spiridakos who were both born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two brothers. After she was born, her family relocated to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She is strongly connected to her Greek heritage and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting at her junior high school. She then attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She was offered her first TV role within a few days, a small part with Supernatural. Spiridakos continued to work on television, playing walk-on characters on Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was in the TV movie Goblin and in the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos has also appeared on Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast in her debut starring role as Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl, on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! Her debut in the feature film world in 2011 by starring in Rise of the Planet of the Apes which she also directed the low-budget Michael Greenspan-helmed thriller, Kill for Me, starring across from Donal Logue and Katie Cassidy. Spiridakos made an appearance as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original movie, Rags. She then landed a lead part on the NBC television series Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, the survivalist of the future of a dystopian society. She was a candidate for the role at the time of her pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos recorded the pilot in Atlanta as well as the first season in Wilmington. In recognition of her performance in the pilot, she was nominated to the Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. She was defeated by the actress from Fringe, Anna Torv. The second season of the show was recorded in Austin, Texas.
