Eliza Jane Bio

Eliza Jane Morley (nee Taylor-Cotter born 24 October, 1989), known professionally as Eliza Taylor, is an Australian actress. She is most famous for her role as Janae Timmins in the Australian soap show Neighbours (2005-08) and Clarke Griffin on The CW drama series The 100 (2014-2020). Taylor was born in Melbourne. She has two siblings: two sisters and a brother. Her mother is an author as well as graphic designer, and her stepfather was a stand-up comedian as was her father, who used to own cafes around Melbourne. Taylor was aspired to be an ocean biologist when she was a child. Much like many Australian actors, Taylor made her breakthrough in the Australian soap drama Neighbours. After appearing as guest on the soap opera from Australia Neighbours in 2003, Taylor was offered the role of Janae Timmins. One of the factors that helped her reach this decision was that all of her family members on screen had been written out and the new cast members gave the serial the feeling of being in a completely different place. Taylor said, "It just didn’t feel like the family I had when I began three years ago." Taylor was among many cast members that quit the serial simultaneously. She completed her final scenes in the studio in 2007 and her last episode was shown on 8 February 2008. In 2007, Taylor was nominated for Best Female at the Inside Soap Awards.
